Dried Domestic Porcini Mushrooms Wild USA

This is our first time trying domestic porcini (which I didn't even know existed) and it's a huge success. I love the euro porcini, but my husband wanted to find a mushroom that would be able to replace a crimini type mushroom - more of a bulk and texture thing. The domestic porcini turned out to be perfect for that! The flavor is more delicate than the European porcini, so I can add more of them, and the texture is excellent. the flavor of the domestic is so good, too. It's wonderful in everything we've tried it in, from Thai food to Russian dishes, to simple soups and stews.
