Chanterelle Mushrooms

Chanterelle mushrooms are one of the world's most sought after wild mushrooms. The bright yellow to orange cap of this mushroom is very distinctive with its convex, funnel shape (about 3/8 of an inch to 6 inches across) which is wavy in character. Its yellow to orange solid stalk is 1-3 inches long and a quarter to one inch thick and is typically white inside. Chanterelles are usually found growing under oaks and conifers throughout North America. Look for them throughout the summer on the eastern seaboard, and from fall to spring on the West Coast.

Every year Oregon Mushrooms hunts for and harvests fresh chanterelle mushroomsto fill in-season orders as well as for drying and powdering. For that year round chanterelle fix, our dried chanterelle mushrooms stock can’t be beat. They are of excellent quality, and are picked and dried the same day. This is the only dried mushrooms that do not reconstitute well.  We recommend the powdered chanterelles over the whole due to the rubbery texture chanterelles have after rehydration. You can  also substitute the Yellow Foot, which is considered the winter chanterelle.
