We do not give refunds for weather delays for your order.

For all orders ask for a delivery 1-2 days before you would normally want them there so if there are weather issues, we have time to try to get the order to you.

Shipping cutoff time is 11 am, we cannot ship after 11 am

You must choose Priority Overnight or Standard Overnight for fresh and frozen products during the warm months. Some of our products can be shipped 2nd day during the winter but will be warm when you receive the fresh and the frozen may be slightly defrosted. This does not hurt the mushrooms, just put them in the refrigerator or freezer when they arrive. 
Fresh and/or Frozen Mushrooms of 10 pounds or more is free shipping.After you have met the 10 pound requirement of ONLY fresh and/or frozen items, free shipping applies to anything else you add to your shopping cart to one address. Each address only qualifies for free shipping if there is 10 or more pounds of fresh and/or frozen mushrooms going to that address.

Free shipping on $150.00 or more
NON-perishable items (dried mushrooms, oils, vanilla products, saffron, anything that does not have to be refrigerated). The order has to qualify for parcel post shipping. This is only for one address. To receive free shipping for this offer,  you must meet the $150.00 or more per address.

To qualify for free shipping on Perishable items, you must order 10 or more pounds of fresh and/or frozen produce. Frozen or Fresh Produce that is not mushrooms cannot be shipped free, unless at least 5 lbs are fresh/frozen mushrooms. For Example Fresh or Frozen Huckleberries, Fresh or Frozen Fiddleheads, Fresh or Frozen Ramps, Fresh Asparagus,  etc.  must be ordered with at least 5 lbs of Fresh or Frozen Mushrooms to qualify for free shipping. You can add anything you want after the 10 lb minimum is met and the shipping will still be free.

.All Fresh and Frozen items can be shipped Overnight or 2nd day, we have the choice to ship either way.
 

PLEASE READ: SHIPPING ALERT!!! We will not honor any claims for shipping delays if it is due to weather, which means no refunds on your order at all. This includes all shipping methods, Fed ex and USPS

 

We may change the shipping method if we feel like it is a better choice, usually we will do this to ensure there is tracking. It usually costs more for shipping for us, but when you are in an area that we have been told that items do not arrive in a timely manner (by USPS) we will choose Fed Ex Home Delivery to ensure your package arrives. We also may do this with breakable items for insurance purposes. We do not do this all of the time. We may do this for the free shipping for Parcel Post because that method does not have tracking unless you order through Pay Pal. Usually we will ship Priority Mail for Parcel Post orders unless you order through Pay Pal.
 

Shipping options and definitions:

By default, signature is not required; we changed this policy because Fed Ex is now charging up to $40.00 to reattempt delivery. We are not responsible for any problems that arise.  If you want a signature required, and are available to sign, we will charge you $40.00 for the reattempt. It is $10.00 for an address correction; you are responsible for giving us a correct address! If you want a signature, you must let us know as soon as you place your order in the notes section. We will not charge extra for this. 


 

       We can choose indirect signature so you can designate someone to sign in case you cannot sign for yourself. You can leave a note for Fed Ex to leave the package if you cannot come to the door, or may not hear the door. Just write Fed Ex, leave the package here, no signature required. I am home; I cannot come to the door right now. (Understand that if the package is stolen, or the mushrooms spoil due to not being cared for, we will not refund your money) Sign, date and write your name on the note.

Fed Ex Priority: Check Fed Ex to see what time your order will arrive. In some areas, this can be as late as 4:30 pm. We cannot ship for Monday delivery for perishables items (fresh or frozen produce).

Fed Ex Standard: Will be delivered by 7:30 pm.  We cannot ship for Monday delivery for perishables.

Fed Ex 2nd Day: Will be delivered within 2 days of shipping.

Fed Ex Express Saver: Will be delivered within 3 days of shipping.

 

Fed Ex Ground- We will ship USPS if the cost is in the accurate range. Ground is for BUSINESS ADDRESSES Arrival is within 5-14 business days after we ship if you are actually a business address. (if you order by Noon PST, we should be able to ship that day or the next day) USPS must have a signature. Not available for fresh items. 


USPS- This can be delivered anywhere from the next day until up to 1 month. USPS does not give money back, we have tried. If you want a guarantee, we recommend USPS. USPS has been making big mistakes lately, so we pay for a signature required. This is a necessity, since packages are getting mis-delivered or stolen lately. 

 

INTERNATIONAL: Only available on non perishable items, only choose Express Mail International, Priority Mail International,  First-Class Mail International. Be aware, that customs can hold your package for as long as they want; we have no control over this, so even if you choose the express methods, they still may take a month or longer to clear customs.

 

Dry Products:

  • We ship within 3 business days of ordering if the items are in stock, if not, please understand that we will email you to tell you that there is a delay, keep these emails please.
  • If you have a special request on when you need your order, please email or call us and we will do our best to meet your needs.
  • We do ship internationally on all dry items, but please check with your customs department to make sure that they are not a banned item. Finding this out is your responsibility since it is much easier for you than for us.

Perishable Items (Fresh Items)

You are responsible to find out if your area has fed ex express available. Call them and ask if you are in doubt. Please do not assume that you have this service available, unless you are in a major town. If you are in a rural area, it may be possible fed ex does not have overnight available, or does not deliver until late afternoon.

Call Fed Ex at 1-800-463-3339, press 0 until an operator answers, and ask them if your zip code has Priority Overnight Delivery, if you need a Saturday delivery, you have to ask them if you can get this service.  Fed Ex is reliable, but they have certain areas they have problems with. If the area is a late delivery area, it helps to put a note for us to add extra ice packs during hot weather.

  • The cost is $15.00 more for a Saturday Delivery.
  • We cannot ship for Monday Delivery
  • Delivery to your business is acceptable, just as long as refrigeration is available and someone can sign.
  • We cannot ship to APO/FPO addresses or PO Boxes for fresh food items (Fed Ex does not allow it)
  • Fresh Mushroom orders need to finalized prior to shipment.
  • If you call us at 800-682-0036 we may be able to ship that day, but we need to know by 10 a.m. PST.
  • We have found that contacting each customer that did not give us a delivery date. This became time consuming, we are getting very upset customers if we wait to ship to hear from you. We have decided that we will ship as soon as we can, that may be the same day, or in the next few days, whenever we have the order to ship out. We do our best to make everyone happy. If you need your order by a certain date, please SPECIFY, otherwise, you will get your order after we ship. If you gave us a valid email address, you will receive a tracking number to tell you that your order has been shipped. Once we ship, we cannot stop the shipment or reroute it to a different address.
  • We cannot ship fresh mushrooms to Canada or internationally.
  • PLEASE be sure to give us accurate contact information! We need to be able to contact you. We will NOT ship if there is a problem with your information until it is corrected.  We will NOT give you a refund if you are not available and the mushrooms can't be shipped to you, we lose money when this happens.
  • When you place your order, we do not guarantee your order will be available for fresh mushrooms, we may run out or not like the mushrooms we get in. In this case, we will refund your money.

  Mushrooms are very fragile and highly perishable. We also are not responsible for addresses, which are located in P.M. areas.  There is a risk in warmer climates. Most addresses are in A.M. delivery areas, which should be delivered between 8:00 - 12:00 in the morning. Please check with Fed-Ex to see what delivery area you are in at 1.800.463.3339 (press 0 to go straight to a representative). If you are having us ship to a business address, please tell us in the note section during check out.
In rare cases of severe weather, Fed Ex planes run behind schedule. Fed Ex-  nor us stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather, Fed ex does not have refrigeration for anything, so your items will not be put in cold storage between the time we ship until you refrigerate your mushrooms. We do not refund money for weather delays, ever, no exceptions. We don't get our money back either. THIS DOES HAPPEN! We advise you order so you can have your order 2 DAYS before you need them!  Please call if your order is late and we will try to make a claim and get you out another shipment.
Most mushrooms may lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to shrinkage during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your mushrooms will be slightly dry to touch which is normal.
