Frozen Domestic Porcini

Frozen Domestic Porcini- King Boletes are available year round. These are a very mild version of the European Porcini. The texture is a little bit different that having them fresh, but our chefs really love that they can have boletes whenever they need them. These are picked in California and Oregon, and frozen immediately, to ensure they are excellent quality.

Keep Frozen until a few hours before you need them. You can thaw them all the way, but don't let them be defrosted for more than 24 hours, they will start to go bad. One of the best things to do is to slice them as soon as they arrive to you, when they are not frozen solid, and then put them in your freezer.
